During the Bogota Workshop we decided to document the various presentations in a book. More specifically, we wanted to have a description of the strategies that have been implemented in the region to reduce the gender gap in science at various levels: within scientific societies, within countries, within regional networks, etc. The book has been published by the Mexican Physical Society with funds provided by the Gender Gap in Science Project. A preliminary version of the book was presented in Lima during the Workshop on Professional Skills for Young Scientists in October, 2018. We hereby present the final version of the book. Thank you to all of those who have contributed to this joint effort. We expect that its contents will be useful for academic and scientific institutions, societies and the scientific community at large to help introduce the necessary changes to reduce the gender gap and increase diversity in STEM.
