SoFiA, the first Latin American School and Workshop on Data Analysis and Mathematical Modelling of Social Sciences, is organised by Sociof\u00edsica Argentina<\/a><\/span> and Centro Latinoamericano de Formaci\u00f3n Interdisciplinaria (CELFI<\/a><\/span>).<\/p>\n

The School-Workshop on Data Analysis and Mathematical Modeling of Social Sciences aims to introduce students and researchers to various topics in the field of social science. This event will cover theoretical, experimental and computational aspects and current trends in the broad area of social research, including dynamical processes in socio-economic systems, the generation and analysis of big data, laboratory behavioral experiments and the analysis of human mobility patterns. The event will address five different areas of social science, and will be organized in morning courses, early afternoon lectures, and late afternoon poster sessions. Each invited Professor will teach a three-hour course for undergraduate and graduate students, explaining the main concepts and tools of a particular area, and will also give a plenary talk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Registration<\/h3>\n

Registration and submission of abstracts for posters and oral presentations will be made through the Argentinian Physical Society (AFA<\/a><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\u00a0Descripci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

La Escuela -Taller sobre An\u00e1lisis de Datos y Modelado Matem\u00e1tico de Ciencias Sociales, SoFiA, tiene como objetivo introducir a los estudiantes e investigadores de diversos temas en el campo de las ciencias sociales. En este evento se tratar\u00e1n aspectos te\u00f3ricos, experimentales y computacionales y las tendencias actuales en el amplio campo de la investigaci\u00f3n social, incluyendo procesos din\u00e1micos en sistemas socioecon\u00f3micos, generaci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de grandes vol\u00famenes de datos, experimentos conductuales, y an\u00e1lisis de patrones de movilidad humana. El evento se enfocar\u00e1 en cinco \u00e1reas diferentes de las ciencias sociales y constar\u00e1 de cursos durante la ma\u00f1ana, conferencias durante la tarde y sesiones de p\u00f3steres al \u00a0final de la tarde. Cada profesor invitado impartir\u00e1 un curso de tres horas para los estudiantes de grado y posgrado, en el que presentar\u00e1 los principales conceptos y herramientas de un \u00e1rea en particular, y dictar\u00e1 una charla plenaria.<\/p>\n

Las inscripciones y los env\u00edos de res\u00famenes de\u00a0p\u00f3steres o\u00a0presentaciones orales se realizar\u00e1n a trav\u00e9s de un servicio proporcionado por la Asociaci\u00f3n de F\u00edsica Argentina\u00a0 (AFA<\/a><\/span>).<\/p>\n
