{"id":104,"date":"2016-03-08T11:55:04","date_gmt":"2016-03-08T14:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.df.uba.ar\/tdscti\/?page_id=104"},"modified":"2016-03-08T12:51:49","modified_gmt":"2016-03-08T15:51:49","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/wp.df.uba.ar\/tdscti\/en\/home\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Workshop on Professional Skills for Young Latin American Female Scientists and Science Students<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Fostering an Interdisciplinary Dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, Universidad de Buenos Aires<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Buenos Aires, Argentina<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">July 12-15, 2016<\/h3>\n<p>This workshop is the continuation of the I Workshop on Professional Skills for Young Female Scientists that took place in en Puebla, M\u00e9xico,\u00a0From July 30th, through August 2nd, 2014\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/mctp.mx\/e_habilidades_profesionales.html\">http:\/\/mctp.mx\/e_habilidades_profesionales.html<\/a>) and of the II Workshop that took place in Cuernavaca, M\u00e9xico,\u00a0in 2015.\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifuap.buap.mx\/eventos\/II_THPJC\/\">http:\/\/www.ifuap.buap.mx\/eventos\/II_THPJC<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>It is aimed mainly at Latin American female graduate students and young \u00a0researchers\u00a0of STEM areas, particularly, those where women\u00a0are under-represented such as Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Computer Science and Earth Science. Those that do not fit in this description can also participate in the talks and round tables. Their participation in the discussion sessions will depend on the total number of participants. \u00a0The goals of the Workshop are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To contribute towards a larger participation of women in STEM areas, potentiating their capacities.<\/li>\n<li>To equip young Latin American female scientists with useful tools for a successful career development.<\/li>\n<li>To offer the opportunity to talk with female scientists\u00a0in more advanced stages of their careers and learn from their experience and to establish a dialogue\u00a0with social scientists\u00a0with interest in the problems associated to gender and science.<\/li>\n<li>To foster collaborations within the Latin American region to promote the growth of multidisciplinary investigations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The is no registration fee to attend the Workshop.
